The Story Behind the logo
Creating a brand that represents support and growth
The founders of Immergo wanted to update their new look before the APTA (American Physical Therapy Association) 2025 conference, and they entrusted me with the logo design process to make it happen.
The creation of the logo was a mixed effort of research, sketches, and lots of iteration (70+ versions). I took a look at XR and telehealth logos, brainstormed symbols, and refined ideas through team feedback.
The circular nature of the logo established unity and inclusivity. The droplets represented renewal and growth. And the “i” figure created an alliteration of the brand name and by rethinking the letter, I added arms to show a human in motion. So by piecing together abstract, organic shapes mimic body curves and motion, we had an "i" figure in motion.
I explored sans-serif fonts (Poppins, Sulphur Point, Comfortaa) for clarity and friendliness. Rounded forms conveyed approachability, while subtle character misalignment added human warmth.
I presented other logo ideas, but this design felt the most aligned with the message we wanted to convey and it still maintained the same essence as the previous logo.
